Jane Visser Architects started in 1993. We’ve spent these years refining our skill at the craft and art of Architecture and we bring our combined years of experience and relationships with artisans and consultants to every new project. We have always specialised in well-crafted buildings which satisfy our clients’ brief - yet deliver beyond expectations.
We focus on a professional service to match our proven design ability. We have designed houses, hotels, wineries & industrial, schools, public buildings, group housing & site development plans. Each project is seen as an opportunity to understand the site, the environment and the client’s needs in as much detail as possible. We feel this enables us to satisfy our clients with innovative & elegant solutions. We design quality buildings for the people who are to use them. We are practised at working with a spectrum of budgets and building types.
Building in the Cape (especially on coastal sites) has its own challenges - all building materials are carefully specified and details are designed intelligently & practically. Our buildings are made to age gracefully, to be of an appropriate lasting quality for the climatic conditions and to be timeless. Jane Visser Architects are skilled at handling light, space and proportion and believe that these elements can be perfected in any building budget. We believe that it is sustainable practice to create buildings which, by virtue of their good design, increase in value far beyond the initial investment.
